Environmentally compliant equipment wash racks are not just a dream; they are being designed, built and used all over the world. Wash rack systems are available that seamlessly collect the waste water, filter that collected water for discharge to sewer, or, if no sewer is available, filter and recycle the waste water and process it back into the wash process.

Hydro Engineering Inc. has been designing waste water filtration systems for equipment wash rack applications for over 20 years. But now, new product enhancements to their Hydrokleen product line have simplify every aspect of the filtration or recycling requirement and eliminated the guess work of choosing the correct equipment to filter or recycle wash water.

CMAFU-2 Active Solids Removal System

Model CMAFU-2 is a Continuous Media Automatic Filtration Unit. Acting like a cartridge filter you never change. As the filter media becomes impacted, new media automatically advances replenishing the filter bed. Solids are removed to as low as one micron.

Flow: 10 GPM

Uses: Hand held, automatic and tunnel carwashes.
Benefits: removes sludge makeing it a dry waste for disposal.

Sump / Pit Cleaning System

Our Sump Sucker and Sludge Cart can be used with any carwash pit system

With these two inexpensive items you can now clean your own sumps. That’s right no more calling the pumper truck and paying high hauling fees.

If your wastewater treatment system is using our Hydro-Biodigesters chances are the sludge you remove is land fill acceptable. Our Biodigesters eat the oils, grease and hydrocarbons from the sludge. Disposal becomes cheap…most customers can put it strait into their dumpster. Check your local regulations first.

Hydro-Biodigesters Biological Odor Control

Hydro-Biodigesters eliminate odors, consumes grease, oils and organic materials. The last odor control system you will ever use! Hydro-Biodigesters (HBD) come in 6, 15, 30, and 55 gallon containers. HBD-A dosing system automatically injects the product into the carwash system. The AC power adaptor allows you to eliminate the batteries in the doser (HBD-AC).

pH Monitoring and Automatic Balancing

Carwash chemicals sometimes create high or low pH conditions in the reclaim water. Keeping pH balanced is essential to protection of the carwash equipment, customers vehicle and producing a clean car.

Now you can insure stable and neutral Ph with an automatic pH control system. Our pH monitor is standard with one pump to inject either acid (low pH) or caustic (high pH) balancing the wastewater pH to neutral. Some systems may require pH balancing in both directions due to pH swings. With our dual pump option and digital pH monitor this can be accomplished to within 2/10ths of a degree.

Biodigester products can tolerate a pH of 4.5 to 9.5 without dying off, but...the closer to neutral pH of 7 the better.

Specialized Filtration Media For Carwash Recycling

HS-300:Hydrosorb collects up to 70% of its weight in emulsified hydrocarbons
ACC612:Highly specialized stratfied activated carbon that collects metals and clarifies the water. Excellent as a final filter media
EC-MB: Targeted filter media for lead, zinc and chromium removal. Excellent in 2-step washing systems as a final filter.
HTSS-25: HydroTSS is a fine filtration media for solids removal to <20 micron nominal. Sold in 25 lb. containers.
