Above-Ground vs Below-Ground

In-ground oil water separation systems commonly installed in carwashes lack many features of our above-ground Extreme Clean systems.

  • Gravity is not required to move the water from the carwash collection system into the oil/water separator. This cuts installation and retrofit costs dramatically.

  • In-ground systems can leak (undetected) causing groundwater contamination requiring very expensive remediation and removal costs.

  • In-ground systems seldom have oil-coalescing and skimming systems, requiring oils to be pumped and hauled away at high expense. Water removed and hauled during the pumping process costs the same as the oil.

  • Our above-ground systems are self-purging and do not require a vacuum truck to clean them out, saving thousands of dollars each year.

  • Our above-ground systems can be easily integrated into a recycling system.

  • Many sizes are available to meet the needs of the individual carwash owner.

Environmentally compliant equipment wash racks are not just a dream; they are being designed, built and used all over the world. Wash rack systems are available that seamlessly collect the waste water, filter that collected water for discharge to sewer, or, if no sewer is available, filter and recycle the waste water and process it back into the wash process.

But now, new product enhancements to their Hydrokleen product line have simplify every aspect of the filtration or recycling requirement and eliminated the guess work of choosing the correct equipment to filter or recycle wash water.

HE/S1

    

Model HE/S1 is a primary solids and oil/water separator, a self-cleaning 3-compartment above-ground sump that's self-purging. It is skid-mounted for simple installation, with 330 gallons holding capacity, 72,000 sq. in. oil coalescing area and active oil skimming. Its pressurized outlet pump will push water hundreds of feet to the sanitary sewer without gravity flow.

HE/S1-H

    

Model HE/S1-H is a primary solids and oil/water separator, a self-cleaning 2-compartment above-ground sump that's self-purging. It is skid-mounted for simple installation, with 270 gallons holding capacity, 72,022 sq. in. oil coalescing area and active oil skimming. Emulsified oils are polished out at 100 GPM though our unique Hydrosorb media. This high-flow polishing system exposes wastewater to multiple passes through the filter media reducing hydrocarbons to less than 10 ppm. Its automatic pressurized outlet pump will push water hundreds of feet to the sanitary sewer or additional filtration without gravity flow.

It is skid-mounted for simple installation, with 330 gallons holding capacity, 450,000 sq. in. oil coalescing area and active oil skimming. Its pressurized outlet pump will push water hundreds of feet to the sanitary sewer without gravity flow.

Model HE/S1-500H is a primary solids and oil/water separator. A self-cleaning 2-compartment above-ground sump that's self-purging and pre-plumbed for simple installation. It has 1000 gallons holding capacity, 225,043 sqin. oil coalescing area and active oil skimming along with emulsified oils removal. Its pressurized outlet pump will push water hundreds of feet to the sanitary sewer or back to the car wash equipment without gravity flow.
