Instant Aircraft Wash Rack

Introducing the world’s first "Instant Large Aircraft Wash Rack System." Wash water is collected, filtered and recycled for use through the Hydroblasters.

Hydro Engineering Inc has designed many aircraft washing systems since its inception in 1980. These have been installed worldwide, washing all types of aircraft, both military and commercial.

The idea of designing and building a portable system which could be rolled out on the ramp, deployed in under an hour and ready to wash, had never been undertaken.

Self-Contained Enclosure

This system allows you to wash and recycle every bit of collected wastewater. This large aircraft washing system is towed out on the ramp, ready to work within an hour,
• Wheeled equipment enclosure
o Easily towed by ground support equipment
     o All stainless steel interior
     o T-bar aluminum floor
     o Built-in secondary containment
     o Heated, air conditioned, lighted
o All equipment pre-installed and tested
• Four Hydroblaster washing systems
     o 5 gpm, 3000 psi, oil-fired, hot water
     o Remote-controlled
     o UL, CSA, CE certified
• Four Hydrofoamer chemical delivery systems
o Chemical proportioning system, precisely mixes soap
o Pressurized liquid chemical delivery system
     o Dual hose air/chemical
o Mixing wand with trigger shut-off gun
• Complete wastewater recycling system
     o Solids settling
o Active solids removal to 5 microns nominal
     o Hydrocarbon removal
     o Heavy metals removal
     o PLC automatic control system
     o Biological odor control system
• Wastewater containment boom
o 600 foot long, 4” diameter containment system
o Provides a capture point for wastewater
• Minimal support equipment requirements
     o Electric power; 208-230, 440-460, 50 or 60 Hz
o Make-up water supply (tank or culinary water)

Minimal Support Requirements

Only minimal assets are required to put this unique system into operation: electric power and fresh (make-up) water. In this case electric power is supplied by a diesel generator and water is brought to the wash site with a water tank and trailer.  This is truly a stand-alone system. Washing Large Aircraft Can Use Up to One Million Gallons of Water. With this system every drop of water collected is reused.

It's All Set Up and Ready to Wash

Here, an instant aircraft washing system is fully deployed and ready to wash anything you can put within the containment system.

Washing And Foaming Capability

This portable aircraft wash, collection and recycling system has an eight-man washing capability.  Four men will operate chemical foaming equipment and four additional operators will wash / rinse with high pressure hot water.  All hoses and guns are pulled directly out of enclosure where they are stored on retractable hose reels, making deployment for washing quick and simple.
